Afrobeats star Mugeez started his own record label Extrial Music to support music that changes our world, by thinking above any limitations.

Since 2007 Mugeez has been part of the Afrobeats duo R2Bees, formed with his cousin Omar Sterling. R2Bees quickly became famous in Ghana after their debut album “Da Revolution” in 2009, which was followed up in 2012 by “Da Revolution II”, with guest appearances from Wizkid, Burner Boy, Tinchy Stryder and Davido. The duo was featured in Forbes' list of “Top 13 African Celebrities To Watch” in 2013. This was also the year they were nominated for “Best International Act” at the BET Awards. Just last year R2Bees released their new album “Site 15”, with major impact on the Afrobeats scene. The album made it to number ten in the Billboard’s “World Album Chart” category.

As well as being part of R2Bees, Mugeez continuously works on solo projects. For example collaborated Mugeez with other high caliber Afrobeats acts, such as Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade and Stonebwoy. In 2017 Mugeez worked with Fuse ODG and Ed Sheeran releasing the single "Boa Me" and another chart topper is about to come out in May: "Closer To You" with Iakopo and Sean Paul.

Mugeez released several singles under his label Extrial Music, such as "Dripping" with Kwesi Arthur and DJ Mic Smith or "Chihuahua". All leading up to Mugeez' first solo EP coming out at the end of this year.

With launching his own record label Extrial Music Mugeez wants to not only promote his music, but also help up and coming artists that are ready to make a change.

R2Bees’ texts are in Twi and Pidgin and their music is a mixture of Afrobeats and Hiplife, a Ghanaian music style that fuses Ghanaian culture and Hip Hop.

R2Bees released their first single in August 2008 titled “Yawa Gal”, which became an instant hit. Right after they released “I Dey Mad” featuring Unda Melodies, another chart topper across Ghana.
